Movses Khorenatsi Award Ceremony in New York

On July 25, in New York City, a ceremonial event was held in honor of Panos Titizian - an Armenian intellectual and adviser to the President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) – who was bestowed with the medal of “Movses Khorenatsi” through a decree by the President of Armenia.

In his remarks preceding the bestowment, Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Garen Nazarian particularly praised the decades-long service of Mr. Titizian to the Armenian nation who has always enjoyed the utmost respect and gratitude of the Armenian communities that he served with a strong belief and dedication.

The event was attended by the Primate of Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, H.E. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, AGBU President Berge Setrakian, philanthropist Nazar Nazarian and Sam Simonian, as well as by representatives of the Armenian-American Community from the US East and West coasts.
