Meeting of Armenian Ambassador to UN with President of General Assembly

On June 19, H.E. Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia had a meeting with the H. E. Philemon Yang, President of the General Assembly.

In the context of regional developments and the role of the United Nations adherence to the Charter of the United Nations as a fundamental principle for the peace and stability has been emphasized during the meeting.

Ambassador Hovhannisyan reiterated Armenia’s commitment to advance Armenia-UN relations and briefed the ongoing preparatory work for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be hosted by Armenia in 2026.
