Meeting of Coordination Committee on 100th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide

On October 23, the first meeting of Coordination Committee on Armenian Genocide 100^th anniversary was launched in New York City with the participation of spiritual leaders from the Eastern Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church, representatives of Armenian-American community and, officials from Armenia’s Embassy in Washington DC and Permanent Mission to the UN.

The Council is meant to coordinate the organization of the events dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of Armenian Genocide in Eastern states of the USA. Garen Nazarian, the Armenian Permanent Representative to the UN, briefed the participants on two meetings of the State Commission created by the the Armenian Presidential decree to properly carry out the organization of events around the world dedicated to the upcoming 100^th anniversary of Armenian Genocide.

The Committee members exchanged views on future steps and programs, as well as organizational issues.
