Reception in New York

On March 9, 2012, Armenia along with several other UN member states, which were together accepted to the United Nations 20 years ago, hosted a joint reception at the Pierre Hotel in New York celebrating 20^th anniversary of their accession. The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon attended the reception and extended his congratulations to the member states.

Guests included ambassadors, diplomats, the UN Secretariat staff, local media representatives and members of the Armenian and other communities in New York.

According to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Armenia in New York, several other events and meetings are going to be held during the current year in the framework of the jubilee anniversary of Armenia’s accession to the United Nations.
