On May 22 at the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Mher Margaryan and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Djibouti H.E. Mr. Mohamed Siad Doualeh signed a Joint Declaration establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Following the signing ceremony of the Joint Declaration, the Ambassadors discussed issues of cooperation between Armenia and Djibouti at the United Nations and within the framework of La Francophonie, as well as prospects of expanding the partnership between Armenia and the countries of the African continent.
