On 19 February in Washington, H.E. Mr. Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Vice-President of ECOSOC and Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN, took part in ECOSOC consultations with the IMF and the World Bank Group on follow-up to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.

In his remarks, Ambassador Hovhannisyan underscored the importance of translating commitments into concrete action — strengthening de-risking instruments, expanding local currency lending, and mobilizing impact-driven finance that effectively reaches developing countries, including landlocked and many middle-income countries facing structural constraints like Armenia.

He stressed enhanced UN - Bretton Woods coherence to advance the Financing for Development agenda.
