Permanent Representative of Armenia participated in a virtual briefing by the UNDP Administrator

On 2 April, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Mher Margaryan participated in a virtual briefing by the UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner on the UNDP's Integrated Response offer to COVID-19. The briefing focused on the UNDP's immediate priorities in helping countries to prepare, respond and recover from COVID-19.

The Permanent Representative of Armenia welcomed the focus of the UNDP's Integrated Response on the health, humanitarian and socio-economic aspects of COVID-19, noting that the pandemic requires collective efforts to address the long-term impacts of the global health crisis caused by the virus and to protect the vulnerable.

Ambassador Margaryan reaffirmed Armenia's strong support to effective multilateralism and global solidarity in face of the pandemic, noting that the Government of Armenia is committed to international cooperation to help defeat the pandemic and minimize its negative social and economic impacts, as well as to elaborate long-term policies to ensure smooth recovery.
