Permanent Representative of Armenia participated in an online briefing by the Deputy-Secretary-General

On 3 April, the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Mher Margaryan participated in an online briefing by the Deputy-Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, joined by Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS Fekitamoeloa Katoa ‘Utoikamanu and the Under-Secretary-General for Social and Economic Affairs Liu Zhenmin. The discussion focused on the review of priorities of the United Nations system’s repositioning process and elaboration of recovery measures, in light of the global crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his remarks, the Permanent Representative of Armenia highlighted the importance of efforts aimed at ensuring availability of transit freight transportation and elaboration of policies to facilitate border crossings of essential goods and equipment to landlocked developing countries where the regional constraints and transport links have been further exacerbated by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
