The Fifth Committee of the UNGA Opened its Session Under the Chairmanship of the Permanent Representative of Armenia

On 4 October, the First meeting of the session of the Administrative and Budgetary Committee (Fifth Committee) of the UNGA was held under the Chairmanship of Mher Margaryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN.

During the main part of the 76^th session of the Committee the program of Work will include amongst others adoption of program budget, Scale of assessments for the apportionment of the expenses of the UN regular and peacekeeping budgets. The agenda of the Fifth Committee also includes items of the Improving the financial situation of the United Nations, the Review of the efficiency of the administrative and financial functioning of the United Nations and human resources management.
